the windy weather has returned to the bay area, more gusty conditions are in the forecast. a live look at the conditions in san francisco, right now, where winds have been blowing more than 30-miles an hour. we'll have that for you shortly. our meteorologist is tracking the conditions in our weather center, but we continue with jade hernandez live where you can see the winds are blowing, jade in >> reporter: it's actually almost painful to stand out here, the winds are gusting so strong. the winds pushed the sand across the road, even hard to walk across the sidewalk here, but you can see the sand brushed across the sidewalk all the way down to the beach. it's creating conditions some kite surfers didn't even enjoy. >> it's windy, really windy. >> i got blown off the water. i needed a smaller kite and i decided it wasn't that much fun it was gusty and i bailed. >> one kite surfer said he

managed only 20 minutes in ocean waters because of the wind gusts. we spoke to california highway patrol, they called for a wind advisory at 2:30 this afternoon. the national weather service said strong north winds are developing over the north bay, san francisco shoreline and the san francisco coast with a wind advisory in effect monday morning at 9:00. we arrived along ocean beach a few hours ago and we noticed the beachgoers thin out making walking, playing, surfing difficult. even talking out here. we'll be heading to the san mateo bridges see how drivers are handing super strong winds, reporting live from ocean beach, jade hernandez, ktvu news. >> >> thank you, jade, be careful out there, let's go to mark with more on the current conditions. >> reporter: we started out

with relatively calm winds. throughout the afternoon hours, wind speeds accelerating. these are the sustained wind speeds, you will notice out toward fair field 24-miles an hour at ocean beach where jazz is over 35-miles an hour, based on the pictures, sf o, we'll look at, sfo current gusts of up to 41-miles an hour, moving the map around at santo rosa, you can see it gust 2-miles an hour and moving closer to the napa region. gusts 20-miles an hour, winds will continue tonight and tomorrow morning. as a result, the national weather service issued this. with the wind advisory not in place, yet, this begins tomorrow morning at , lasting until 9:00 p.m. 11:00 am to 9:00 p.m. monday, increasing northerly winds, strongest gusts could be 50-miles an hour. i would not be surprised to see

neighborhood. jeffrey greer was shot after an argument. officers arrested a 55-year-old man in connection with the shooting he has not been identified. investigators say he is the only suspect in the indicates and they have not released a motive for the attack. >> >> police released a photo of a suspected bank robber it happened at the providence credit union. investigators say the man gave the teller a note saying he had a gun and demanded money. he is only described as a thin black man 5'9 to 6'1 inches tall, anyone with information about this man or the robbery is asked to call the police. >> >> alleged bike thieve caught on camera this is surveillance video. the unidentified woman wearing the striped t shirt, asked to take a test de on a bike even left behind a driver's license.

up crashing into a tree. all 15 passengers and the tour guide was injured. the bus driver was the only one not hurt. it was hop rated by a burlinggame company. >> >> passengersed on amtrak's coast star light train, delayed for almost four hours after it derailed near freemont. cameras were the only ones there when the train finally pulled into oakland at 2:00 this morning. frustrated passengers complained about a lack of information. >> it took at least a half hour once we stopped to even find out what was going on. even then, we didn't learn the true story. >> no one was injured in the incident. an amtrak spokesperson said only the lead wheels left the track. capital quarter trains did not stop today, amtrak provided bus service for passengers. it's unclear if service will

tonight, the search for a 60-year-old hiker in washington state swept away by an avalanche yesterday has been suspended indefinitely. conditions are too dangerous. a closer avalanche closer to the snowqualmie pass summit. conditions were so bad it took six hours to carry the woman off the mountain and she died at they reached the base. >> >> comedian kevin hearth was arrested on suspicion of dui. his black mercedes almost collided with a tanker truck in los angeles. he failed a sobriety test.

speeds, rain from 14-29-miles an hour, sf o, 29-miles an hour, i'll deploy the wind gusts and you can see out toward sf o, gusts to 41-miles an hour. fairfield, 31-miles an hour. a few more stations out toward point rays, 24-miles an hour. one of the stronger sensors around ocean beach. this mighting reading a bit high, but the most recent observation reporting gusts of 52-miles an hour. very strong winds and blowing sands and very strong winds favoring the coast, a wind advisory, it's not here just yet. it begins tomorrow morning at 11:00. basically for the coast around the bay shore line and north bay hills. gusts could be 50-miles an hour. i would not be surprised to see it go 55-58-miles an hour, especially near the coast and toward sfo. there is a chance of a shower first thing tomorrow morning,

cool and breezy, temperatures to start out your monday morning in the upper 30s to the 40s. san francisco 48 and san jose 45 degrees. winds throughout the day tomorrow will continue to pick up easily, the wind gust forecast throughout the day on monday and into the afternoon hours, san francisco easily, 36- miles an hour, napa, 27-miles an hour. here's the weather system we are tracking. this would be the source of stronger winds for tomorrow and a cooling trend. eventual track will take this into monday, north and east of the bay area. temperatures upper 50s to the lower 60s, there is enough moisture with this that we could be tracking a few scattered light showers as i mentioned later on tonight and into tomorrow morning. here is the forecast model showing you increase a few scattered showers very light, moving in tonight and lingering into early monday morning until 4:00 or 6:00 and we scale back on some of the clouds

throughout the afternoon hours on monday, but as the clouds move out, wind speeds do pick up once again. temperatures for tomorrow, mainly in the upper 50s to lower 0s for afternoon highs. san jose, forecast high, 62. wind advisory for a good portion of the region for tomorrow, especially for the coast. strongest winds for your monday, winds back off into tuesday, but look what happens with the overnight lows, we could have patchy fog inland valleys tuesday and maybe into wednesday morning. if you want the warmer temperatures, thursday and friday forecast, upper 70s, could be approaching the 80- degree mark for the upcoming weekend. tomorrow, it will feel a bit like winter out there. maybe some frost first thing tuesday morning. >> so, these winds will stick around for more than a day? >> basically, tomorrow, they will be peaking, tuesday, still around. 15-25-miles an hour, but
